Do I need lab work before starting up :

No, but we highly recommend a bloodwork panel within the last 6-12 months; we do offer for a one-time fee of $399 an in-office or in-home lab service. We can discuss this in your initial consultation.

What is GLP-1?

GLP-1 activates GLP-1 receptors in the pancreas, enhancing insulin secretion and reducing glucagon release. This reaction leads to glucose homeostasis, which triggers your body to burn fat for energy.

Are there side effects associated with GLP-1?

Nausea is the most common side effect. Additional side effects include headaches, abdominal pain, and constipation. Our providers start everyone off at a low dose to reduce side effects and increase the dosage as needed.

How does it work?

GLP-1 helps to balance out hormone levels and, in doing so, helps regulate sugar levels and curb appetite. It helps patients adhere to a reduced-calorie diet and lose weight when used with lifestyle changes. Additionally, studies show that it may lower the risk of cardiovascular disease (heart attack or stroke) and can improve mental health.

How do I sign up for Optimum Health Med?

STEP 1: Place your order online.
